Adnan Safdar, MD, graduated from a medical school in Rawalpindi, Pakistan in 1994. After his graduation, he joined a family practice group in Pakistan. He then immigrated to the United States in 1996. From 1996 to 2003 he completed research fellowships in Neurology, Neurosurgery and Neurocritical Care. He then completed his Neurology residency from 2003 to 2007 from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark, New Jersey. He then completed his Vascular Neurology fellowship in 2008 from Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School in Boston. His research interest is in the area of stroke and intracerebral hemorrhage.
